PETRONAS launched Primax 95 and Primax 95 Xtra, fuels developed with F1™ technology, and became a key supplier of lubricants to Daimler-Mercedes across key markets in Europe and Asia.

The team is renamed Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team with the inclusion of the high-performance division of Mercedes-Benz. It secured its first win in 57 years at the Chinese Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton joined the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and became a technical performance consultant for PETRONAS.

PETRONAS Syntium with °CoolTechTM and PETRONAS Primax 97 were launched. The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team dominated again to claim its second Constructors’ and Drivers’ World Championships.
